Abdominal pain indicates discomfort and pain in any part of the abdomen or just around the umbillicus.
Abdominal pain could include pain from the intestines and result in constipation or diarrhoea. This could be due to a Western Medical diagnosis of IBS, Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis or another condition. In women, abdominal pain could also be linked to the menstural cycle.
During treatment the practitioner will gently palpate and massage the abdominal area in order to refine the diagnosis and give the appropriate treatment.
