Cosmetic Acupuncture

The natural way to look and feel revitalised. Cosmetic Acupuncture (also known as Facial Rejuvenation, Facial Acupuncture, Facial Regeneration) is the non-chemical, non-surgical method of reducing signs of ageing on the face. Treatment combines body and facial acupuncture with a facial acupressure massage following the treatment.

Facial rejuvenation has been used in China for thousands of years to prevent the onset of wrinkles and facial lines. It is more than a cosmetic procedure. It is a rejuvenation and revitalisation process aimed at helping you look and feel younger. It’s based on the same principles of Traditional Chinese Acupuncture, and involves the insertion of very fine needles into areas of the face and body. The aim is to benefit the face whilst treating underlying factors that contribute to signs of aging.

Cosmetic acupuncture may lessen signs of ageing from the face, with results usually apparent after about 6 treatments. Fine lines may be entirely eliminated and deeper wrinkles diminished. Bags under the eyes can be reduced, jowls firmed, puffiness eliminated, droopy eyelids lifted and double chins minimised. Other results may include: improved skin condition; increased local circulation of blood and lymph to the face; increased collagen production; improved muscle tone, and dermal contraction; tightening of the pores; brightening of the eyes; improving hormonal balances to help acne; reduction of stress signs in the face.

A course of 10-12 weekly (or twice weekly) treatments is recommended with improvement usually noticed after around 6 treatments. Occasional follow-up treatments can help to maintain the results. Cosmetic acupuncture treatment costs: £60 / £55 ( 1.5hr initial / 1hr follow-ups).

“Cosmetic acupuncture has caught the attention of increasing numbers of women who want to slow signs of aging, but don’t want to undergo surgery or to inject chemicals.” Read the full article: Skin Deep - Hold the Chemicals, Bring on the Needles - New York Times, December 13, 2007.
