Ear Acupuncture

Ear or Auricular Acupuncture involves inserting small acupuncture needles into the outer ear to help complement a body acupuncture treatment.

There are over 200 acupuncture points on the ear, with each point thought to represent an area of anatomy. Needles trigger electrical impulses from the ear, via the brain, to the specific part of the body being treated. 

Auricular acupuncture can be used in combination with body acupuncture in order to complement treatment. Ear ‘press seeds’ can be helpful for some people to help prolong the effects after treatment.  ‘Press seeds’ should be kept on for a few days and then disposed of (and the treatment area cleaned).
